Systems
What is a system? An independent group of items forming a unified whole.
Slate Systems combine audio, video and lighting equipment into one centrally located space, which can be managed through a variety of devices. Touchscreen remotes, iPhones, iPads and laptops may be programmed to control your home from anywhere in the world.
Slate designs systems to include control processors, A/V receivers, cable boxes, DVD and music players and gaming consoles. A climate controlled media rack stores this equipment and eliminates the clutter and visual disarray of the traditional entertainment space.
Programming may also include control over climate, irrigation, shades and security.
Audio
Audio control by Slate Systems is guided by activity preferences and household needs. From whole house audio to individual rooms, background ambience to movie watching, sound control is a significant part of an ideal environment.
Slate's audio expertise will ensure appropriate application of equipment for any budget. Installation of speakers takes into account the size of the room and desired listening atmosphere. Slate is able to wire and install one zone or multiple zones within a home. With older construction, or new projects, future proofing ensures wiring infrastructure won't be outdated for current or future residents.
For commercial purposes, Slate can install and program speakers for ambient or live sound. Older systems that may need updated equipment can be assessed and managed by Slate. Slate is able to create mobile sound systems for smaller venues.
Video
Household video and television viewing habits determine the type of controls needed to operate the system.
Often this includes lighting and audio levels that can be programmed into a single button press.
Slate is familiar with all sizes and types of video displays and helps with appropriate selection and viewing placement. Hidden displays or motorized screens can also be installed so they are visible only when desired. Slate's centralized systems can also be wired to allow for whole house video distribution.
Lighting
The proper lighting for a space depends on the activity taking place, like reading or watching television.
Slate Systems are designed and programmed for optimal lighting with the click of a button. Slate can create custom lighting for rooms, furniture or art.
Lighting is also important for security purposes. Motion detected or alarm triggered lighting ensures total visibility at night or in dark rooms. Programming can be adjusted for lighting plans when away during the day or night.
